PRP HAIR THERAPY

PRP (Plasma-Rich Platelet) Hair Therapy or sometimes referred to as PRP Hair Restoration - Platelets from your blood are concentrated and then injected back into your scalp.

PRP FOR HAIR LOSS

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) works on the basis that the body has healing powers potent enough to improve the signs of ageing and hair growth. A small amount of blood is taken from your arm, then spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and the platelets that contain your own growth factors. Plasma is a light-yellow liquid when it has been separated from the rest of the blood, which is made of water and proteins. Platelets are made in the bone marrow and help stop bleeding in an injury. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) refers to blood with a high number of platelets.

PRP is revolutionary in hair restoration: PRP can stimulate a special type of cell called dermal papilla cells, which play a significant role in hair growth.  When injected into the fine line delicate areas of the scalp, this treatment promotes new cell growth, nourishes the hair follicles, strengthens the hair root and is effective at improving hair growth for certain hair conditions. The increased blood supply and natural responses to the introduction of the PRP into the scalp helps revive thinning hair.

This treatment can be used when hair loss results from androgenetic alopecia, a common condition that causes hair follicles to shrink. PRP could help regrow hair by reversing the process that occurs in androgenetic alopecia.

The treatment is suitable for men and women.
