MICRONEEDLING

ICON_edited.png

Microneedling also known as Collagen induction therapy, dermarolling, or skin needling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles. This is a aesthetics facial that can treat many skin concerns.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a technique that boosts the skin's collagen production. At Dewdrop Aesthetics, we use a Microneedling pen that makes tiny holes and wounds on the skin surface. These wounds are caused by small needles that glide gently over the skin. The skin responds to these wounds by healing itself and producing more collagen and elastin.

Microneedling also helps to break down old scar tissue and stimulate new skin cells. This results in new layers of elastin and collagen fibers and better blood circulation in the skin. Microneedling can improve the skin texture, reduce wrinkles, regenerate tissue, fade scars, shrink pores, and minimize stretch marks.

To hydrate your skin, we apply a serum with hyaluronic acid during the treatment. We also customise a mesotherapy cocktail of serums that matches your specific needs and helps you achieve your glowing skin goals.

Microneedling can treat various conditions, such as:

- Ageing skin, fine lines and wrinkles
- Scars, including mild to moderate acne scars
- Stretch marks and cellulite
- Skin tone, enlarged pores and texture
- Pigmentation and sun damage
- Collagen deficiency and uneven skin tone

What is the difference between mesotherapy and microneedling?

Mesotherapy combines a cocktail of powerful vitamins, which are injected into the lower layers of the skin using a superfine needle, whereas microneedling employs a skin needling pen with multiple ultrafine needles. These needles create micro-wounds in the skin, stimulating a healing response. The healing response leads to the production of new collagen and elastin, crucial for maintaining smooth and plump skin.

When topical products are applied before microneedling, the micro-holes in the dermis allow better absorption of the product, maximizing treatment results.

We offer microneedling with a mesotherapy cocktail to infuse into the skin during the treatment.  By combining the procedures, we can treat a multitude of skin concerns. Your skin will start to rejuvenate and glow straightaway and look brighter.

Dewdrop Aesthetics offers a range of Mesotherapy Cocktails to address various skin concerns, such as:

  • Intensive Anti-wrinkle & Lifting: This cocktail reduces the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin, giving you a more youthful and firm look.

  • Intensive Hydrating & Firming: This cocktail boosts the moisture and elasticity of your skin, making it smoother and more supple.

  • Anti-pigmentation: This cocktail lightens and evens out your skin tone, fading away age spots, sun damage, and melasma.

You can also try our Microneedling with Infini BTX treatment, which combines a powerful anti-aging formula. Infini BTX contains Hyaluronic Acid, which hydrates your skin, and Argireline, which relaxes your facial muscles and prevents wrinkle formation. This treatment gives you a lifted, hydrated, and younger-looking skin.

For a radiant and glowing complexion, we recommend our Lemon Bottle Skin Booster and Microneedling treatment. This treatment uses a potent blend of ingredients that hydrate, brighten, and improve your skin texture.

The key ingredients are:

  • Vitamin C: An antioxidant that protects your skin from free radical damage and enhances its brightness.

  • Hyaluronic Acid: A moisturizer that plumps up your skin and fills in fine lines.

  • Niacinamide: A vitamin that reduces inflammation and smooths out your skin texture.

  • Lemon Extract: A natural bleaching agent that fades away dark spots and balances your skin tone.

By combining the Lemon Bottle Skin Booster with Microneedling, we ensure that the active ingredients penetrate deeper into your skin through tiny microchannels. This enhances the effectiveness and results of the treatment.

We offer a custom blend of Anti-wrinkle toxin (B-TOX) and Hyaluronic Acid. We use microneedling to inject this powerful mixture under the skin, where it tightens and smooths the texture. Unlike other treatments, it does not freeze your facial expressions, but minimizes pore size and creates a youthful look. It also balances slightly oily skin and adds a hydrated glow.

For a complete Radiant Infusion package look at the Dewdrop Glow Facial.  It combines different serums with dermaplaning, microneedling and Profhilo for a radiant result.

Microneedling is a safe procedure that can be done every four to six weeks as needed. To induce collagen production, you need at least three treatments. To reduce scars, you need three to six treatments. You should wait four to six weeks between each treatment. You can use microneedling on any part of your body. You may see some results after the first treatment, but the full effect will take a few months to show.

Treatment & Events

To prepare for the treatment, we ask our clients to come without any makeup if possible. We will cleanse and prime the skin before starting the procedure. If you have chosen the mesotherapy cocktail option, we will perform an instant peel first. Then, we will use the microneedling pen device to create tiny wounds in the skin and apply a HA serum simultaneously to enhance the product absorption. After the treatment, you may experience some inflammation, redness, mild swelling, slight pinpoint bleeding or bruising on your skin. This is normal and similar to mild sunburn. It will subside within 24-48 hours. The skin inflammation is very temporary and will diminish significantly in a few hours.

It may remain slightly red for up to 48 hours after treatment and it is therefore advisable that the treatment is performed at least 2 weeks before any event. AHAs (glycolic Acid), retinol, acidic or active ingredients should not be used for two to three days after treatment to allow for maximum healing. Sun exposure is not recommended and a sunscreen of spf50+ is encouraged.
