MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling also known as Collagen induction therapy, dermarolling, or skin needling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles. This is a aesthetics facial that can treat many skin concerns.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling works by stimulating the production of new collagen in the skin. At Dewdrop Aesthetics we use a Microneedling pen to create microscopic punctures and tiny wounds in the skin. Tiny needles gently glide across the skin and are designed to cause minuscule traumas on the surface. These micro-traumas trigger the skin to heal itself, encouraging the natural production of new collagen and elastin to repair any damage.

Microneedling procedures break down old scar tissue and push skin cell generation. Cell production leads to the creation of new layers of elastin and collagen fiber and leads to improved blood flow in the skin. Medical microneedling is known to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, regenerate tissue, improve the appearance of scars, reduce the size of pores, and reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

We use a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid while the treatment is carried out. We also offer a bespoke mesotherapy cocktail of serums best suited to your individual needs to help achieve your glowing skin goals.

Microneedling can treat various indications:

  • Ageing Skin, fine lines & wrinkles

  • Scars

  • Mild to moderate acne scars

  • Stretch marks and cellulite

  • Skin tone, enlarged pores and texture

  • Pigmentation

  • Sun Damage

  • Collagen deficiency and uneven skin tone

What is the difference between mesotherapy and microneedling?

Mesotherapy combines a cocktail of powerful vitamins, which are injected into the lower layers of the skin using a meso device with one needle, whereas microneedling gently moves multiple microscopic needles over the face to cause miniscule puncture marks, activating the production of collagen and elastin.

We offer microneedling with a mesotherapy cocktail to infuse into the skin during the treatment.  By combining the procedures, we can treat a multitude of skin concerns. Your skin will start to rejuvenate and glow straightaway and look brighter.

Microneedling can be safely repeated every four to six weeks as needed. Collagen induction requires at least 3 treatments, while scar reduction requires 3-6. Four to six weeks should pass between one treatment and the next. Microneedling can be used on all parts of the body. Usually results begin to appear after the first treatment. Full results will take a few months to appear.

Treatment & Events

We require clients to arrive with no makeup if possible, the skin is cleansed and prepared for the treatment. If your treatment is with mesotherapy cocktail an instant peel will be carried out first. The micronedling pen device is used to create tiny wounds in the skin and at the same time a HA serum is applied to the skin to enable effective absorption of the product. After the treatment most clients notice the skin will be inflammed, red or mild swelling similar to slight sunburn for 24-48 hours and there may be slight pinpoint bleeding or bruising. Inflammation of the skin is very temporary and reduces greatly within a few hours.

It may remain slightly red for up to 48 hours after treatment and it is therefore advisable that the treatment is performed at least 2 weeks before any event. AHAs (glycolic Acid), retinol, acidic or active ingredients should not be used for two to three days after treatment to allow for maximum healing. Sun exposure is not recommended and a sunscreen of spf50+ is encouraged.
